U.S. NAVY VETERAN

His Story...

After serving in the United States Navy for 22 years, Guillermo settled in Oxford with his beautiful wife, Kirsa, and fell in love with the city and all its people. Over the years, he has built strong relationships with neighbors and business owners - both English and Spanish speakers - and kept his finger on the pulse of our city.

Most recently, Guillermo was appointed to the Oxford Planning Board, where his years of experience in strategic planning, managing infrastructure projects and contract negotiations are helping the city sort through the challenges it is currently facing.

His experience, connections and commitment to Oxford make him a natural leader for the city as we experience unprecedented growth and change with an expected 9,000 new homes being built in the next 4 years.

Ways to Lead Oxford Forward:

UNITE THE COMMUNITY

Working and listening to EVERYBODY, regardless of party affiliation, skin color or ethnicity is the ONLY way for Oxford to truly heal and move forward.  No ignoring requests from citizens because they don't carry enough clout or weight in the community.

SUPPORT & MAINTAIN A STRONG PUBLIC SAFETY PRESENCE

Properly equip, supply and staff Oxford's Police and Fire Departments to keep the peace and ensure each citizen’s safety, while also working with county EMS that protects the city as well.

INFRASTRUCTURE

Continue upgrading water and sewer lines, install more sidewalks and streetlights, provide public Wi-Fi, increase public parking and Invest in our parks, recreation facilities and walking trails.

TRANSPARENCY

Ensure the public has access to city reports, planning projects, events and more.
